1. Medical Administrative Assistant

Medical administrative assistants perform administrative duties using specific knowledge of medical terminology and hospital, clinic, or laboratory procedures. Responsibilities may include scheduling appointments, billing patients, and compiling and recording medical charts, reports and correspondence.
2. Computer Support Specialist

Computer support specialists provide help and advice to people and organizations using computer software or equipment. Some support information technology employees within their organization, while others assist non-information technology users who experience computer problems.

Medical assistants perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
4. Interpreter and Translator

Interpreters and translators interpret oral or sign language, or translate written text from one language into another. SCC’s American Sign Language program trains individuals to develop fluent skills in the third most commonly used language in the U.S. Many employers in a diverse array of occupations consider ASL skills a valuable asset.
5. Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic

Customer service representatives handle customer complaints, process orders, and provide information about an organization’s products and services. They should be good at communicating with people, enjoy working with and helping people, and have basic computer skills.
9. Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) Mechanics and Installer

HVAC mechanics and installers install or repair heating, central air conditioning, or refrigeration systems, including oil burners, hot-air furnaces, and heating stoves.
